Book Around is excited to bring books to Johnston for the very first of our traveling book fairs! Join us at Busy B's, a brand new business introducing Rhode Island's only indoor playground and work space!
Join us for a selection of gently preowned and brand new books by both mainstream and local authors! Children's books, adult fiction, classics from the 1930's - you name it! Each book tells its own story, and our Traveling Book Fair is the perfect place to find your next great read.
What to Expect:
A handpicked selection of preowned books at unbeatable prices and a welcoming atmosphere for readers of all ages.
All preowned adult books: $8 and under
All preowned children's and middle grade books: $5 and under
All locally written books priced by the author
$15 blind dates with a book available too!

Book Around’s first official book club of is happening! *happy dance*
This book club meet up is meant to be a fun, laid-back night out with great people, great books, and even better vibes - no pressure, no stress! Whether you’ve finished the book or just want to hang out, you’ll fit right in!
Details:
• Date: Friday, Jan. 17, 2025
• Time: 6-8pm
• Location: Book Around
• $35 for first-time participants includes a welcome goodie bag of bookish items, plus mocktails and snacks to enjoy during the event.
• Going forward, $25 for returning participants will cover your mocktails and snacks.

This Month’s Pick: “The Keeper of Lost Things” by Ruth Hogan
Allow me to set the scene:
• A relaxed, informal atmosphere where you can chat at your leisure.
• Plenty of snacks and drinks to enjoy while you connect with fellow book lovers.
• No worries if you didn’t finish (or even start!) the book—we’re here for the fun, not the homework. (But try to at least start the book)
Come solo or tell your friends—the more the merrier! This is a perfect way to unwind, meet new people, and celebrate your love of books.

Book Around will be transformed into Santa's workshop on Dec. 21 from 11:30am-2:30pm. Come write letters to Santa and take pictures with Santa's elves!
